Keio temporary line to Mount Takao for the Momiji Season

Keio Electric announced this week the launch of a temporary line from Shinjuku to Mount Takao during weekends and public holidays. It will operate between October 26th to December 1st.

Called “Mt. Takao”, it’s a “for limited time only” [Keio Liner train]. All seats are reserved only. It will cater the tourists for the Momiji (autumn leaves) season. Since Mount Takao is one of the popular Momiji locations near Tokyo, direct access to the mountains would be great.

The seat reservation will be 410 yen per person, on top of the regular fare (381 yen), thus total fare will be 791 yen. Tickets are available at ticket machines in stations, as well as [Keio Ticketless Service website] (in Japanese, and registration required).
